ACPL-M61L and ACPL-064L ultra low-power optocouplers The ultra low-power optocoupler evaluation board helps designers to evaluate the ACPL-M61L and ACPL-064L optocouplers for isolation of bi-directional digital interfaces, as for example SPI. The board has pre-mounted resistors for driving the LED inputs directly from a 3.3V microcontroller output and connectors mounted on the backside for use on breadboards. The ultra low-power optocoupler family ACPL-x6xL is a new generation of digital optocoupler, offering up to 90% reduction in power consumption versus earlier generations of optocouplers and digital isolators and combines this with best in class noise isolation (35kV/us dynamic and static CMR). The low current (1.6mA) needed to drive the LED allows designers to connect the LED directly to a CMOS output via current limiting resistors without the need of any further external components.
