Boost high-current circuit protection in less space with bolt-down fuses
To give the ability to enable greater circuit protection while using less board space, the 0498 series of 32V MIDI® bolt-down fuses from Littelfuse features a compact design and is light weight.
For design flexibility, the 0498 MIDI fuses are offered with two, one, or no mounting holes and a high-contrast, color-coded stamp on the housing simplifies identification of the ampere rating of each fuse. The range of housing material color adds to the ability to identify different fuses.
Time-delay characteristics for automotive bolt-down fuses are provided by diffusion pill technology. This technology provides predictable over-current protection, as well as reduces melting temperatures, and maintains low heat dissipation.
Optimal short-circuit protection is provided by MIDI fuses with ratings from 150A to 200A.
In addition to the range of MIDI fuses with a color housing, there are the Clear MIDI fuses which have a clear nylon composite cover which makes it easy to see when the fuse has blown.
The MIDI bolt-down fuses comply with the UL 248-1 standard as a special purpose fuse in UL file E71611 for 40A to 100A, and to directive 2011/65/EU.
