Miniature connector system offers robust performance in automotive applications
The Micro Quadlok System (MQS) family from TE Connectivity (TE) consists of a contact system and connectors, available in both waterproof and non-waterproof versions.
The TE MQS connectors offer high packing density, robust construction, and comprehensive functionality for use in vehicles in both dry and wet areas.
The compact MQS family handles a range of current-handling requirements, from 7.5 A at the low end up to a maximum of 45 A. This is achieved by offering a range of different terminals and hybrid connectors.Â
The MQS contact system features high-performance copper alloy and redundant contact point technology for highly reliable operation. The contacts can handle a high level of vibration, and benefit from overstress protection of the contact springs.Â
The MQS wire-to-wire and wire-to-board connectors also withstand strong vibration, and provide high reliability in normal operation. The design of the connectors helps to reduce OEM manufacturing and service costs.Â
A polarization feature and key coding provide for ergonomic assembly and safe installation. The connectors also offer a locking mechanism available with or without connector position assurance.
