New NTC thermistors offer precise measurement at high temperature
The NCP thermistors from Murata offer good temperature measurement performance at low cost over a broad temperature range. These very small NTC thermistors are ideal for space-constrained consumer and mobile products.

Murata has extended its NCP series of high-accuracy, surface-mount NTC thermistors to include new 0402M and 0603M case sizes for use in mobile, consumer, and medical devices.Â
Thermal design is becoming a more important feature of electronic systems, as more functions are added to increasingly sophisticated consumer, mobile, and computing devices, increasing the load on components such as microprocessors and microcontrollers. Precise measurement is now required to maintain performance when operating at high temperatures.
To meet this requirement, Murata supplies the NCP series of thermistors, which offer substantial improvements in measurement error compared to competing alternatives. The NCP thermistors achieve temperature measurement accuracy of ±0.1°C at 25°C.Â
Murata has made the new case size options for the NCP thermistors available in addition to existing 0402 and 0603 options.
