Ultra-fast 650 V recovery rectifier adds high power density for PFC

The low reverse recovery time enables the PNU650150EJ to offer improved efficiency due to the planar technology, and the recovery rectifier also reduces electromagnetic interference (EMI).

The 15 A recovery rectifier is offered in an encapsulated D2PAK Real-2-Pin, SOT8018 package. This has the same package outline as a standard D2PAK but features two pins, instead of three, with no middle cathode pin. This design increases the pin-to-pin distance from 1.25 mm to over 4 mm, which meets the creepage and clearance required by the IEC 60664 standard.
