High-temperature, ultrawide bandwidth, low-noise 3-axis digital vibration sensor
The IIS3DWBG1 system-in-package from STMicroelectronics features a 3-axis digital vibration sensor which offers low noise over an ultrawide and flat frequency range, and monitors vibration at temperature from -40°C to 125°C.
With a wide bandwidth and low noise, the IIS3DWBG1 adds sensitivity which is very stable and offers repeatable sensitivity, this supports vibration monitoring in industrial applications as well as in electric or hybrid vehicles.
High performance is combined with low power consumption in addition to the digital output. The IIS3DWBG1 vibration sensor embeds digital features such as a 3KB first-in, first-out (FIFO) buffer which enables the sensor to avoid data loss and limit intervention from the host processor. The interrupts also support battery-operated industrial wireless sensor nodes.
The IIS3DWBG1 has a selectable full-scale acceleration range of ±2/±4/±8/±16g and measures accelerations with a bandwidth up to 6kHz at an output data rate of 26.7kHz. To enable the sensor functions to be checked in the final application, a self-test capability is embedded in the sensor.
