Automotive door control reference design optimizes thermal and EMC performance
This system-level reference design for automotive door control, from Infineon, simplifies development and accelerates software design, with an optimized layout to handle thermals and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) performance.
The design brings together MOTIX™ and OptiMOS™ families with a TRAVEO™ II microcontroller. The components include TLE9166EQ half-bridge drivers with integrated MOSFETs and high-side switches, BTM90x1 integrated H-bridges, and a TLE9562 multifunctional system basis chip (SBC) for brushed dc (BDC) motor control which integrates power supply, communication interfaces, and multiple half-bridges.
Also featured in the reference design is the PROFET™ BTS7200 smart high-side switch, and a bridge with OptiMOS™ 7 power MOSFETs.
The TRAVEO™ II microcontroller initializes the MOTIX™ SBC TLE9562 and the MOTIX™ Bridge TLE9166EQ over the same SPI channel, which is separated with a chip select (CS) and the MOTIX™ Bridge BTM90x1 in daisy-chain configuration.
The BTS7200 is controlled with general-purpose input-output (GPIOs), and starts the cyclic status check function, controller area network (CAN), and local interconnect network (LIN) communication. There is also the MOTIX™ multi half-bridge IC configuration wizard for the graphical user interface (GUI).
