Combine high-frequency RFID and NFC using this reader module with integrated antenna
Read many high-frequency (HF) RFID technologies and support near-field communication (NFC) by directly integrating a TWN4 Mini EVP SI M HF RFID module from ELATEC into almost any host system.
To enable higher RFID performance, the TWN4 Mini EVP module features an integrated 13.56MHz HF antenna and features low power consumption to add versatility. Communication with the host is over RS-232 or an asynchronous serial TTL interface, and there are two LEDs that can be controlled by software. Additional security can be added by connecting an external secure access module (SAM).
Offering firmware updates in the field, the TWN4 Mini EVP SI M HF also supports transparent data exchange with RFID media and is pin-compatible with the existing TWN4 MultiTech HF Mini reader to simplify scalability.
Instead of having to select just a few frequencies, the TWN4 Mini EVP SI M HF reader module enables many HF RFID technologies to be read within the 13.56MHz frequency band, which includes NFC.
To streamline the development of software for RFID readers, there is a powerful SDK for writing apps which are executed directly on the module.
