Innovative global shutter pixel design in the 2.3MP image sensor for moving scenes
For obstacle avoidance in applications such as drones, an autonomous mobile robot (AMR) or factory automation, the onsemi AR0235CS Hyperlux™ SG global shutter image sensor captures video and single frame images of moving scenes.
The 1/2.8−inch 2.3MP digital image sensor features an active-pixel array of 1920 x 1200 and introduces an innovative global shutter pixel design. This design optimizes the AR0235CS to deliver accurate and fast capture of moving scenes at 120 frames per second and full resolution.
Operating in low and bright lighting conditions, the AR0235CS sensor delivers clear, low-noise images and features sophisticated camera functions. These functions offer auto exposure control, windowing, row-skip mode, column-skip mode, and pixel binning. Programming is simplified through a two-wire serial interface.
The industry-leading global shutter efficiency enables the AR0235CS to produce extraordinarily clear digital pictures by capturing continuous video and single frames. This ability benefits a wide range of applications which include scanning, autonomous mobility, augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), surveillance and industrial quality control.
In addition to the 2.3MP AR0235CS image sensor, the Hyperlux™ SG family offers the 1MP AR0145CS and the 0.3MP ARX383CS image sensors.
