Flexible cooling and industrial temperature from U-channel ac-dc power supply
For continuous output using natural convection or forced airflow, the PQU650-28P AC-DC power supply from Murata features a U-channel construction.
When cooled by forced airflow, the PQU650-28P provides a continuous 650W output with constant current overload which holds the current at a safe level when a fault or overload occurs and until the output voltage drops. To deliver a transient load, there is a 800W power boost when the output is restarted.
Cooling by natural convection at 50°C enables the ac-dc power supply to output 450W of power.
The case of the PQU650-28P is 4″ x 6″ and features a screw terminal.
To benefit multiple applications, the PQU650-28P has an adjustable main output, and an auxiliary/standby and fan outputs. Safety certification is to IEC 62368-1 which applies to audio, video, communication and information technology equipment (ITE).
In addition to the screw terminal and 28V DC output voltage on the PQU650-28P AC-DC power supply, other power supplies in the PQU50 range offer output voltage from 12V DC to 54V DC, and an optional cover kit which features a top-mounted fan.
