Graphics and sound microcontrollers for automotive clusters and head-up displays

Designed to support automotive systems such as instrument clusters and head-up displays (HUD), the CYT4DN TRAVEO™ T2G microcontrollers from Infineon integrate subsystems for graphics and sound.

The graphics engine features 2D and 2.5D graphics rendering with perspective warping and 3D effects.

Direct video feed through from capture to display interface with graphics overlay, and an engine to enable scene composition from the display layer. There is also a display engine for video timing and display warping on-the-fly for HUD applications. The drawing engine adds acceleration of vector graphics rendering.

Sound subsystems features include four time-division multiplexing (TDM) interfaces, two pulse-code modulation-pulse width modulation (PCM-PWM) interfaces, and up to five sound generator (SG) interfaces. In addition there are two PCM audio stream mixers with five input streams, and an audio digital-to-analog converter (DAC).

The two Arm® Cortex®-M7 CPUs are for primary processing, and an Arm® Cortex®-M0+ CPU supports peripheral and security processing.

The embedded peripherals support controller area network with flexible data rate (CAN FD), and local interconnect network (LIN), with a clock extension peripheral interface (CXPI), and Gigabit Ethernet. 

The CYT4DN MCUs integrate a low-power Flash memory, multiple high-performance analog and digital peripherals, and support the creation of a secure computing platform.
