High-performance supercapacitors enable reliable backup power across many industrial applications

The NIC Components extensive portfolio of double-layer supercapacitors supports temperature ranges as wide as -40°C to 85°C for low- and high-current backup power in coin cell and cylindrical form factors.

NIC Components provides engineers with a wide range of supercapacitors in surface-mount V-chip, button radial, horizontal axial, and vertical axial packages for power backup applications across many industries.

Suitable for low-current applications, the NEXC, NEXG, NEXM and NDLC supercapacitors support a voltage range from 3.5 V to 5.5 V with output currents up to 7.1 mA. These coin cell supercapacitors are available in standard capacitances from 0.01 F to 4.7 F, depending on the series, and are specified for use in operating temperatures from -25°C to 70°C.

The NEXA and NEXS supercapacitors support higher power requirements within this operating temperature range. The NEXS supercapacitors are capable of output currents of up to 18 mA for applications requiring a backup power source between 5.5 V and 12 V.

NEXCW, NEWGW, NEXMW and NDLW supercapacitors serve -40°C to 85°C applications and provide up to 3.3 mA output at 3.5 V to 5.5 V. The NEXT supercapacitors support this extended temperature range for higher-power applications for up to 8.4 mA output at 5.5 V.

The NDR and NDC present a power backup solution for the highest energy and power density requirements in industrial settings. With capacitances up to 100 F, the cylindrical NDRH can support up to 22.06 A at 3.0 V.

Both the NDR and NDC offer solutions for backup power at 2.7 V, 3.0 V, 5.5 V and 6.0 V in -25°C to 70°C operating temperatures. These options are 2.7 V or 5.5 V for the extended -40°C to 85°C temperature range.
