Higher power density from an 80 V MOSFET in a compact LFPAK88
The NextPower PSMN1R8-80SSF from Nexperia is an 80 V, 1.8 mΩ, 270 A, N-channel MOSFET which supports higher power density from a compact LFPAK88 package.
The LFPAK88 package allows the PSMN1R8-80SSF MOSFET to deliver a continuous current rating which is 2x higher than D2PAK, in addition to offering optimal thermal performance and reliability from an 8 mm x 8 mm footprint. This means that the package offers a 60% saving in board space.
Higher efficiency and lower spiking are also supported by the low reverse recovery charge, and high switching efficiency is supported by the low gate charge x on-resistance figure of merit (FOM).
The PSMN1R8-80SSF MOSFET is available in industrial as well as automotive AEC-Q101 grades.
