RFID reader module combines LF, HF, NFC, and BLE in a compact footprint
Supporting over 60 RFID technologies with 125kHz, 13.56MHz, near field communication (NFC), and Bluetooth® Low Energy (BLE), the ELATEC TWN4 MultiTech 3 M reader features field-upgradeable firmware and flexible host interfaces.
The TWN4 MultiTech 3 M series is built for host-connected reader designs where credential data needs to be passed into a wider system. Local application logic can be implemented directly on the reader using the ELATEC Software Development Kit (SDK), enabling custom behavior to run on the TWN4 MultiTech 3 M rather than relying on the host system. The module also supports transparent data exchange with RFID media, intended for applications that require more direct interaction with supported credentials beyond simple identifier output.
The module is intended for use in any embedded systems that require support for multiple communication vectors in a single compact device. The TWN4 MultiTech 3 M features a combination of 125kHz, 13.56MHz, NFC, and BLE support on the platform. Depending on the deployed configuration, the reader can support more than 60 RFID technologies. Configuring the firmware version and installed options in this way enables applications that may need to accept multiple tags, transponders, or mobile credentials.
TWN4 MultiTech 3 M is available in multiple hardware configurations for different mechanical and connection requirements. C0, C1, and C2 variants share a compact footprint of approximately 50mm x 35mm, with different height profiles and connector arrangements. The module also supports field firmware updates, making it suitable for deployed systems where credential support, reader behavior, or application logic may need to be maintained over time.
