Cost-effective IGBT7 high-voltage power module for higher power density

The APTGX from Microchip is a 1,700 V, IGBT Trench7 power module which achieves low saturation voltage and leakage current in addition to offering 75 A continuous collector current.

As a phase leg IGBT7 module, the APTGX can be used as a solid-state switch which features low loss and fast ac-dc or dc-dc switching in addition to rugged short-circuit performance.

The low-profile standard SP3F package means that the isolated IGBT7 module can be mounted directly on a heat-sink and offers low junction-to-case thermal resistance. To simplify PCB mounting, there are solderable terminals for power and signal.

The APTGX IGBT7 module increases design flexibility and integrates an improved antiparallel diode to enable lower forward voltage. The module achieves very low stray inductance and the Kelvin emitter supports easy driving. An internal thermistor monitors temperature, and the AlN substrate improves thermal performance.
