Industrial IMU with machine learning core, finite state machine and digital output

For Industry 4.0 applications, the ISM330DHCX system-in-package inertial measurement unit (IMU) from STMicroelectronics combines a high-performance 3D digital accelerometer and 3D digital gyroscope with a machine learning (ML) core, finite state machine (FSM) and digital output.

As a MEMS sensor module, the sensing elements in the ISM330DHCX are manufactured using robust and specialized micromachining processes, and the IC interfaces are trimmed to match the sensing element.

The accelerometer and gyroscope are on the same silicon die and the full-scale acceleration range is ±2/±4/±8/±16g and the wide angular rate has a range of ±125/±250/±500/±1000/±2000/±4000dps. This means that the ISM330DHCX IMU can benefit many different applications.

The ISM330DHCX calibration is optimized to achieve superior accuracy and stability, with extremely low noise and full data synchronization.

To deliver high performance at very low power, the smart and complex sensor nodes are supported by the machine learning core, programmable FSM, FIFO, sensor hub, event decoding and interrupts. This performance is offered in a 14-lead plastic land grid array (LGA) package.
