Turnkey future-proof security controller for IoT offers performance and flexibility
The SLS32AIA OPTIGA™ Trust M turnkey security controller from Infineon enables secured access to any major cloud provider. The security controller also offers the flexibility of working with any microcontroller (MCU) or microprocessor (MPU).
As a pre-provisioned discrete secure element, the SLS32AIA is the easy option for adding security to existing IoT designs. The standalone hardware is highly modular and can be integrated with any MCU to add security which is not offered by the MCU. To enable easy upgrading to new protocols such as Matter, the SLS32AIA can continue to offer security even after the MCUs have been changed.
The I2C interface of the SLS32AIA features a shielded connection for encrypted communication, and the software framework for OPTIGA Trust M is available on Github. The secure element is certified to PSA Level 3.
The SLS32AIA security controller offers benefits for secured zero-touch provisioning, platform integrity protection and power management, in addition to data store protection, and life-cycle management. Other use cases include key provisioning, secured updates, secured communication, and mutual authentication.
