The X-NUCLEO-IKS5A1 integrates five sensors covering distinct measurement domains, bringing them into a single timing domain to simplify multi-sensor alignment and to support applications that require coherent motion, vibration, and environmental data. The solution includes:

  • ISM6GH256X intelligent IMU for simultaneous measurement of low-g and high-g acceleration 
  • ISM330IS six-axis IMU with always-on accelerometer and gyroscope 
  • IIS2DULPX ultra-low-power accelerometer
  • ILPS22QS barometer with 1260hPa and 4060hPa ranges
  • IIS2MDC three-axis magnetometer 

The platform makes these industrial sensors accessible to developers using an STM32 microcontroller through its Nucleo-compatible interface and the ST software ecosystem. Onboard features such as sensor hub support, finite state machines, and machine learning cores allow initial data processing directly at the sensor, reducing the computation workload on the host processor. The ST MEMS-Studio and X-CUBE-MEMS1 software support configuration, acquisition control, and parameter visualization for simplified development and analysis.

Detachable add-on modules provide additional connectors, and support distributed sensing layouts for either the STEVAL-MKGI07A microcontroller board or the main X-NUCLEO-IND5A1 board.

The STM32N6570-DK Discovery kit is a complete demonstration and development platform for the Arm® Cortex®‑M55 core‑based STM32N6 series microcontrollers from STMicroelectronics. These MCUs include an ST Neural-ART Accelerator, a neural processing unit (NPU) for accelerating AI inference, making this kit the ideal tool for developing proofs-of-concept and prototypes of AI-enhanced product designs. 

The kit includes a full range of hardware features for evaluating the wide range of peripherals supported by the STM32N6 MCUs. Four flexible extension connectors provide expansion capabilities for functions such as wireless connectivity, analog signal processing, and sensing.

The STM32N6570-DK Discovery kit integrates an STLINK-V3EC embedded in-circuit debugger and programmer for the STM32 MCU, with a USB Virtual COM port bridge and a comprehensive MCU software package.

The STEVAL-MKI248KA kit from STMicroelectronics consists of a generic DIL24 adapter board, the STEVAL-MKIGIBV5, a flat cable, and a square PCB on which is mounted the ISM6HG256X six-axis IMU.

The sensor is soldered precisely in the center of the square PCB, making it easy to mount the board on prototype equipment.

STEVAL-MKIGIBV5 board can be plugged into a standard DIL-24 socket. The kit supports the complete ISM6HG256X pin-out, and comes ready to use with the required decoupling capacitors on the power-supply line.

The kit is complemented by the STEVAL-MKI109D evaluation platform, which includes a high-performance 32-bit microcontroller: this functions as a bridge between the sensor and a PC, on which engineers can use the downloadable MEMS Studio graphical user interface, or dedicated software routines for custom applications.

The SATEL-VL53L8 package for the VL53L8 family of time-of-flight (ToF) sensors from STMicroelectronics includes two breakout boards which can easily be integrated into a customer’s devices.

The PCB section which includes the VL53L8 ToF sensor module is perforated. The developer can break off the mini-PCB and use it in an application with a 3.3V supply via flying wires. It is easy to integrate the SATEL-VL53L8 breakout boards into devices under development thanks to their small size.

The breakout boards support two products in the VL53L8 family, the VL53L8CX and VL53L8CH 8×8 multi-zone ToF ranging sensors. They are compatible with the X-NUCLEO-53L8A1 ToF expansion board.

This evaluation board features TO-247-4L type power software for NCP51152BADR2G and  NCP51152CADR2G gate drivers.

The NCPV51152 isolated single-channel gate driver features 4.5A source and 9A sink current. The gate drive is designed for fast switching to drive power MOSFETs, and SiC MOSFET power switches. 

Short and matched propagation delays are offered. The NCP51152xA provides a split output that controls the rise and fall times individually. The NCP51152xB has the UVLO of the common collector voltage referenced to GND2 to get a true UVLO.

The NCP51152 is available in a 4mm SOIC-8 package and can support isolation voltage up to 3.75kVrms. Another important protection function is independent under-voltage lockout for both-side driver.
