1,200 V IGBT power module provides ready-made triple phase leg circuit
The APTGX150TA120TPG power module from Microchip is based on its latest seventh-generation IGBTs, which offer higher efficiency and lower losses, while improving ease of use.

The APTGX150TA120TPG from Microchip is a 1,200 V IGBT power module which provides a complete, application-ready implementation of a triple phase leg circuit.Ā
IGBT power modules, which consist of multiple IGBT chips and freewheeling diodes in a single package, provide benefits such as reduced power loss, high thermal stability, and robust performance under demanding conditions.
The APTGX150TA120TPG module uses the latest IGBT 7 devices from Microchip. The new seventh generation of IGBTs helps power-system designers to achieve higher efficiency while increasing reliability compared to earlier generations. The IGBTs feature a lower saturation voltage and forward voltage, while the rated current is 50% higher, and it is easier to control dV/dt. Softer freewheeling diode operation and a simpler drive circuit make this IGBT 7 module easier to integrate.Ā
Featuring an aluminum oxide substrate and copper baseplate, the APTGX150TA120TPG enables direct mounting to a heat-sink. Solderable terminals for both power and signals make for easy PCB assembly.
