Fast, high-density F-RAM for mission-critical industrial data-logging
The CY15V104QSN from Infineon is a non-volatile 4Mb EXCELON™ LP ferroelectric RAM (F-RAM) which combines NoDelay writes with ultra-low power consumption and data protection, all in a compact package.
With a high-speed quad serial peripheral interface (QSPI), the F-RAM adds SDR and DDR interfaces, and eliminates risk to the data by writing data instantly at bus speed, without the need for the soak times required by legacy technologies.
The CY15V104QSN can support 100 million times more write cycles than EEPROM, which makes the F-RAM ideal for applications which need to achieve writes which are frequent or rapid, as well as reliable.
For added protection, the CY15V104QSN features a read-only device ID and a unique ID. These IDs allow the SPI bus master to determine the manufacturer, product density, product revision and unique ID for each part. There is also a unique read-only serial number which can be used to identify a board or system.
