Industrial ac-dc modules feature 0.3 W no-load consumption and wide input-voltage range
The RAC15-K/480 and RAC25-K/480 isolated ac-dc power modules by RECOM are rated at 15 W and 25 W respectively with outputs between 5 V and 24 V dc. Extensive protections and certifications ensure safe operation in industrial environments.
The RECOM RAC-K series of PCB-mounted ac-dc converters feature an ultra-wide 85 V to 528 V ac input for serving Class II single- and three-phase power applications in a global marketplace. The RAC15-K/480 and RAC25-K/480 modules in particular are built for harsh industrial settings such as over-voltage category (OVC) III and pollution degree 3 (PD3) applications at up to 5,000 m altitude.
The RAC15-K/480 and RAC25-K/480 ac-dc modules are available in potted through-hole packages specified for operation between -40°C and 70°C. The dimensions of these modules are 52.5 mm x 40.0 mm x 25.5 mm for the RAC15-K/480, and 83.23 mm x 46.43mm x 30.4 mm for the RAC25-K/480.
Full power output is available at 70°C for up to 277 V ac input for the RAC15-K/480 modules and up to 480 V ac input for the RAC25-K/480 modules. With load derating, operation is possible at up to 90°C ambient temperatures.
The output of the RECOM RAC15-K/480 and RAC25-K/480 modules is classed as a limited power source (LPS) to comply with safety requirements. These ac-dc modules are additionally certified to comply with CB, CE, EN 55032, EN 60335-1, EN 61010-1, EN 62368-1 and UL 62368-1 regulations.
