Single-pair Ethernet connectors comply with IEC 63171-6 standard

TE Connectivity (TE) supplies a portfolio of single-pair Ethernet (SPE) jacks and plugs which streamline the installation of Ethernet networks in factories and other industrial settings. 

The introduction of the TE 2364150-1 SPE T1 Industrial Plug IP20 KIT and the 2364151-1 SPE T1 Industrial RA JACK IP20 connectors follows the ratification in 2021 by connectivity providers and trade groups of the IEC 63171-6 standard for cable using an M12 connector for SPE cabling. The IEC 63171-6 standard specifies an interface for hybrid SPE and power transmission in one cable, with high-speed data transmission up to 1 Gbit/s at up to 600 MHz, and power up to 11 kW/16 A. 

This allows engineers to optimize machine-to-machine communication in applications without loss of data, to decentralize computing power, and get data to the edge of the network in a more streamlined, transparent way. 

The 2364150-1 plugs and 2364151-1 jacks provide a robust implementation of the IEC 63171-6 standard. The 2364150-1 supports wire-to-board connections with a port matrix configuration of 1 x 1. Featuring stainless steel shielding, the 2364150-1 has a contact current rating of 4 A. 

The shielded 2364151-1 SPE jacks have a right-angled, through-hole board-mount configuration.
