The EVSPIN32G02Q1S1 board from STMicroelectronics is a complete three-phase inverter design based on the STSPIN32G0251 controller, which integrates a three‑phase 250 V gate driver and an Arm® Cortex®-M0+-based STM32 microcontroller.
The power stage features STD17NF25 MOSFETs from ST, but can be populated with any IGBT or power MOSFET in DPAK or powerFLAT 8×8 HV package.
The board has a single-shunt sensing topology, and allows the designer to implement either a field-oriented control or six‑step control algorithm in either sensored or sensorless mode. The board is compatible with permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSMs) and brushless dc (BLDC) motors.
The evaluation board supports a wide input-voltage range, and includes a power supply stage with the ST VIPER06XS in flyback configuration.
