The P-NUCLEO-53L8A1 from STMicroelectronics is a complete evaluation kit for learning about, evaluating, and developing applications with the VL53L8 series of direct time-of-flight (ToF) sensors.
The kit features two products in the series: the VL53L8CX and VL53L8CH.
The VL53L8CX is an 8 x 8 multi-zone ranging sensor which offers superior performance in challenging ambient light conditions and low power consumption. Based on STMicroelectronics FlightSense technology, the sensor provides accurate ranging up to a distance of 4 m with a 65° diagonal field of view.
The VL53L8CH ToF sensor also enables AI applications thanks to its compact normalized histogram (CNH) data output.
