STMicroelectronics

The STEVAL-MKI231KA demonstration board provides a hardware platform for evaluating the STHS34PF80, an infrared motion and presence-detection sensor from STMicroelectronics.

The demo board is connected through flat cable to a generic adapter board, the STEVAL-MKIGIBV5, to make it compatible with the STEVAL-MKI109V3 microcontroller board. An ad hoc plastic holder with a Fresnel lens (TMOS63-10) has been provided in the kit to enable the designer to verify the in-application performance of the device.

The STEVAL-MKIGIBV5 can be plugged into a standard DIL 24 socket. The kit supports the complete STHS34PF80 pin-out, and comes ready-to-use with the required decoupling capacitors on the power supply line.

This adapter is supported by the STEVAL-MKI109V3 motherboard, which includes a high performance 32-bit MCU functioning as a bridge between the sensor and a PC, on which it is possible to use the downloadable graphical user interface, or dedicated software routines for customized applications.

It is also possible to plug the board into an X-NUCLEO-IKS01A3, X-NUCLEO-IKS02A1 or X-NUCLEO-IKS4A1 board. The kit is supported by an X-CUBE-MEMS1 expansion software package for STM32 MCUs.

Melexis

The EVB90394 evaluation board from Melexis provides an easy way to connect the MLX90394 Triaxis® magnetometer IC to a microcontroller or measurement device.

Rohm

The RPR-0720-EVK is an evaluation board for the RPR-0720 infrared (IR) proximity sensor module.

The ROHM RPR-0720 is an integrated IR proximity sensor module which combines an emitter and receiver in a single small package.

The RPR-0720’s emitter is an IR vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser. The chip’s built-in IR receiver detects the approach of a person or other object by measuring the rate of reflection of IR light emitted by the VCSEL, over a range between 1 mm and 15 mm. The proximity sensing range is controllable by the system designer via its I2C interface.

STMicroelectronics

The SensorTile.box PRO from STMicroelectronics is a new programmable wireless box kit for developing IoT remote data acquisition applications. It features components for motion and environmental data sensing, as well as a digital microphone, alongside Bluetooth® Low Energy 5.2 and NFC connectivity.

onsemi

The AR0822NPSC10SMEAH3-GEVB sensor board for the 8 Mpixel AR0822 from onsemi provides a convenient platform for evaluating the image sensor’s embedded High Dynamic Range feature and its low power consumption.

The board can be interfaced to the onsemi Demo 3 evaluation board, or to the AP1302 evaluation board stacked on the Demo 3 board. The combined kit uses the DevSuite software from onsemi to configure the system. The software provides a comprehensive set-up interface, and offers a flexible way to evaluate the sensor’s features and capabilities.

The sensor board comes with a lens suitable for evaluation. Designers can use their own lens as long as it is compatible with the mechanical and optical requirements of the sensor.
