The B-G474E-DPOW1 Discovery Kit is a complete digital power development platform built around an STM32G4 MCU. It features an onboard buck-boost converter (with selectable internal or external input and resistive load bank) and a high-brightness RGB LED, allowing developers to evaluate DC-DC conversion and LED lighting control designs. A Class-D audio amplifier circuit is also included to demonstrate digital power in audio applications. The kit provides rich user interface and connectivity, including four user LEDs, a 4-direction joystick, a USB Type-C™ port supporting USB Power Delivery 3.0, a Micro-USB port (for ST-Link), and extension headers for additional peripherals.

The STEVAL-3601CV1 demonstrates a smart converter design able to deliver up to 1A output current from a 3.3 to 36V input, with a 5V output voltage. The board features the DCP3601 miniaturized synchronous step-down converter, which implements enhanced peak current control and advanced design circuitry to minimize quiescent current. The board demonstrates how highly efficient conversion can be achieved with just the DCP3601, an inductor, two small capacitors, and two resistors.

The board highlights key application benefits made possible by the DCP3601, including high efficiency and small PCB size, and is ideal for power conversion solutions in major appliances, smart metering, industrial 24V BUS conversion and general-purpose wide power supplies.

The AEK-POW-BMSCC is a compact battery management system module based on the L9963E, optimized for easy mounting in battery packs. It can be used in a centralized daisy-chain as an intermediate node, where the first node is an AEK-POW-BMSCCTX. As an intermediate node, the AEK-POW-BMSCC can be part of a chain of up to 31 BMS nodes.

Each module monitors between 4 and 14 cells and can serve as an intermediate node in a daisy chain of up to 31 BMS nodes. The board provides voltage, current, and temperature sensing for each cell, enabling precise State-of-Charge estimation and cell balancing across the pack. Part of ST’s AutoDevKit ecosystem, the AEK-POW-BMSCC allows engineers to quickly prototype scalable, high-voltage battery management solutions with support for functional safety and real-time monitoring.
