The X-NUCLEO-ESE01A1 expansion board is based on the STSAFE-A120 secure element from STMicroelectronics. It can be used with any STM32 Nucleo microcontroller development board.

The on-board STSAFE-A120 is customized with a standard profile for evaluation. It is compatible with the Arduino UNO R3 connector.

The X-NUCLEO-ESE01A1 expansion board is supported by free X-CUBE-STSE01 software packages containing sample code to demonstrate how to implement security applications. Free drivers, middleware and software samples are compatible with the STM32 open development environment.

The CAM-56G3 modules from STMicroelectronics provide a ready-made camera system for evaluation and integration of the VD56G3 1.5 Mpixel monochrome image sensor. These ready-to-use cameras combine a VD56G3 image sensor, lens holder, lens, and flexible printed circuit connection, integrated into a single module as small as 6.5 mm2.

Multiple GPIOs enable users to synchronize the modules with triggers and illumination. Featuring a MIPI CSI-2 output interface, the modules are ideally suited for use in low-power embedded systems.

The VD56G3 image sensor on which the camera modules are based provides outstanding performance in the visible and near infrared portions of the spectrum. Featuring a proprietary ST pixel design, the image sensor offers a broad toolbox of on-chip functions which include features for optimizing data size and frame rates, such as crop, binning, and programmable sequences.

The sensor is supplied by ST as a bare die, so the CAM-56G3 modules provide an easier integration option for OEMs. The modules are backed by a comprehensive set of enablement software, drivers and evaluation tools, including drivers for a Linux® operating system.

The EVLVIPGAN100PD from STMicroelectronics is a 100 W USB Power Delivery (PD) 3.0 reference design for a USB Type-C® power adapter.

It is an isolated power supply with a stand-alone USB PD controller. The evaluation board implements, at the primary side, a quasi-resonant flyback converter based on the ST VIPERGAN100, high-voltage flyback converter with optocoupler feedback for voltage regulation and a high-voltage gallium nitride (GaN) power switch.

The converter combines a high-performance, low-voltage PWM controller chip with a 650 V start-up cell in a single package. The reference design achieves low standby power consumption thanks to the VIPERGAN100’s advanced power management and low quiescent current.

To reduce the input mains current distortion, a power factor correction circuit based on the L6564 controller IC is used. At the secondary side, to increase system efficiency, rectification is based on the SRK1001 adaptive synchronous rectification controller.

The reference design also includes an STUSB4761 controller, which offers the benefits of a full hardware USB PD stack, allowing for robust, deterministic, and safe negotiation in line with USB PD standards.

The STEVAL-56G3MAI module enables easy evaluation of the VD56G3 1.5 Mpixel monochrome image sensor from STMicroelectronics. The module features a soldered sensor, an M12 lens holder screwed to the board, and a removable lens. The module also has a flex cable to connect to a broad range of embedded processing platforms.

The module is one of a family of modules for evaluating various products in the ST BrightSense image sensor portfolio. All share the same standard connector and pinout, to enable easy replacement of one image sensor with another in proof-of-concept designs.

All of the image sensor modules are backed by a comprehensive set of enablement software, drivers and evaluation tools, including drivers for a Linux® operating system. The modules also support GUI software for evaluation when paired with the ST EVK Main board.
