STMicroelectronics

The EVSPIN32G06Q1S1 board from STMicroelectronics is a complete three-phase inverter based on the STSPIN32G0601 controller, which integrates a three‑phase 600 V gate driver and an Arm® Cortex®-M0+ microcontroller. It is suitable for loads up to around 250 W, and drawing a 1 Arms phase current.

The power stage features STGD6M65DF2 IGBTs, but can be populated with any IGBT or power MOSFET in a DPAK or powerFLAT 8 x 8 HV package. The board has a single-shunt sensing topology, and supports both field-oriented control and six‑step control algorithms in either sensored or sensorless mode. This means that the board can drive permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSMs) and brushless dc (BLDC) motors.

The evaluation board is compatible with a wide input-voltage range from 35 V ac/50 V dc to 280 V ac/400 V dc. It includes a power-supply stage based on the VIPER06XS offline power converter in flyback configuration to generate the +15 V and +3.3 V supply voltage required by the application.

Other features are:

  • Over-current threshold set to 2.8 A peak
  • Smart shutdown over-current protection
  • Digital Hall sensors and encoder input
  • Bus-voltage sensing
  • External connection through STLINK-V3SET
  • Buttons and trimmer for user interfacing

The STM32U083C-DK Discovery kit from STMicroelectronics is a complete demonstration and development platform for the STM32U083MCT6 microcontroller. It may be used as a reference design for application development before porting to the final product.

The full range of hardware features on the board helps the designer to evaluate all the MCU’s peripherals including the USB 2.0 interface, segment LCD controller, capacitive touch-sensing channels, and temperature sensor.

ARDUINO Uno V3, mikroBUS™ and extension connectors provide for easy connection to extension shields or application-specific daughterboards.

The STM32U083C-DK Discovery kit does not require any separate probe as it has an integrated STLINK-V2EC debugger/programmer. The kit  is operated by plugging it into a PC through a standard USB Type-A or USB Type-C®-to-USB Type-C cable.

The board is supported by the STM32CubeU0 embedded software package.

Diodes

This demonstration board uses the AL17052, a buck converter IC operating from a universal mains input voltage, to build a cost-effective solution for high-voltage buck converter applications. The AL17052 integrates a 700V MOSFET and can work with a single-winding inductor and very few external components to provide an accurate constant-voltage output and good dynamic performance.

Microchip

The DT100104 from Microchip is an add-on board for the CryptoAuth Trust Platform and other Microchip development platforms that contain a mikroBUSTM header. The board can be used to develop prototypes for applications which use the ATECC608B or ATECC08C CryptoauthenticationTM secure elements. This board offers an alternative to sample units that require a socket board for initial development and testing.

The DT100104 board features eight ATECC608C secure elements which are specified to provide Trust&GO, TrustFLEX, TrustCUSTOM, and TrustMANAGER functions. The board is supported by a user guide which provides a physical overview of the connections and switch settings implemented on the board.

Microchip

The PIC32CX-BZ3 and WBZ35x Curiosity board from Microchip is an all-in-one platform for testing the microcontroller and wireless functions of the WBZ35x multi-protocol MCU modules and the PIC32CX-BZ3 SoCs.

The PIC32CX-BZ3 and WBZ35x Curiosity board comes preconfigured with an out-of-the-box sensor application where data are sent over Bluetooth® LE. Additional Bluetooth and Zigbee 3.0 application examples are available in MPLAB Harmony v3.

In addition to the WBZ351 Arm® Cortex®-M4F MCU module with PCB antenna, the PIC32CX-BZ3 and WBZ35x Curiosity board features the following connection interfaces and peripherals:

  • mikroBUS™ socket
  • RGB LED
  • Ambient analog voltage temperature sensor
  • User button and LED
  • Onboard programmer/debugger circuit
  • External 32.768-kHz crystal
  • 64-Mbit QSPI Flash memory
  • Li-Po battery management and charging circuit

An Xplained Pro header interface also enables connections to extension boards like the QT7 Xplained Pro extension kit. This can be used to evaluate the capacitive touch capabilities of the PIC32CX-BZ3 SoC for HMI applications.
