The B-G474E-DPOW1 Discovery Kit is a complete digital power development platform built around an STM32G4 MCU. It features an onboard buck-boost converter (with selectable internal or external input and resistive load bank) and a high-brightness RGB LED, allowing developers to evaluate DC-DC conversion and LED lighting control designs. A Class-D audio amplifier circuit is also included to demonstrate digital power in audio applications. The kit provides rich user interface and connectivity, including four user LEDs, a 4-direction joystick, a USB Type-C™ port supporting USB Power Delivery 3.0, a Micro-USB port (for ST-Link), and extension headers for additional peripherals.

STMicroelectronics

This 3phase inverter board provides a complete motor drive for prototyping high-voltage BLDC/PMSM control. It features a 650V-rated power stage capable of about 300W output and accepts between 50 and 400V dc bus input. An onboard flyback converter generates the necessary 15V and 3.3V supplies for the gate driver and MCU. The board uses single-shunt current sensing and supports both sensorless and sensored FOC or six-step control algorithms out of the box. Standard STM32 debugging and programming tools are supported via an external SWD connector on board (STLINK), and headers are provided for motor feedback. This evaluation kit helps to evaluate the STSPIN32G0602Q in real-world motor control applications.

Renesas

Renesas offers the EK-RA8P1 evaluation kit to support development with the RA8P1 MCU. This kit includes an RA8P1 board with on-board J-Link debugger and connectors for Ethernet, USB, audio, and displays, plus a 7-inch capacitive-touch LCD and 5MP camera module for human-machine interface and vision demos.

The EK-RA8P1 comes pre-loaded with example projects showcasing the MCU 1GHz performance in voice recognition, image capture, and real-time analytics, allowing engineers to rapidly evaluate RA8P1 features using the Renesas FSP middleware and e²Studio IDE.

Renesas

The MCK-RA8T2 development kit from Renesas is intended for evaluation of permanent-magnet synchronous motors (PMSMs) and other three-phase brushless loads driven by RA8T2 microcontrollers. The kit combines an RA8T2 CPU board (MCB-RA8T2), a low-voltage inverter board (MCI-LV-1), a PMSM, and accessories such as cables and stand-offs, so that engineers can exercise typical control schemes on a ready-made power stage.

An onboard debugger supports direct programming of the RA8T2 from a PC without an external probe. Connectors for Hall sensors, encoders and communication interfaces allow a range of feedback and host-control arrangements to be assessed. Sample code supports rapid bring-up, parameter tuning and waveform observation, helping developers to characterize the behavior of RA8T2-based control and networking operations in their intended industrial applications.

Key features include:

  • 1-, 2- and 3-shunt current sensing schemes for PMSM control
  • Integrated over-current and short-circuit protection
  • Supports Renesas Motor Workbench
  • Optional isolated communication via companion MC-COM board
  • Inverter board rated for operation up 48V
